Be familiar with Kepler's three laws of planetary motion, Newton's three laws of motion and Newton's law of gravity. Don't just memorize them. Understand what they mean and know how to use them. Be able to use Kepler's third law to calculate the period of a planet or asteroid. Be able to calculate force using Newton's second law. Know Kirchhoff's laws. Be familiar with the Galileo Rock Experiment. Know the relationship between temperature and pressure for a normal gas. Know the relationship between mass, volume and density. Know the following historical astronomers' major contribution to astronomy and for each of them know if they believed in a geocentric universe, a heliocentric universe, or a variation of one of these models
