1. A murderer, who experienced years of abuse at the hands of his victim, finally "snapped" and killed his girlfriend. What sentence should this offender receive? What goal would be achieved with your proposed sentence, as compared to another sentence- in other words, why is this the best sentence for this offender?
2. A college student with no previous criminal record engaged in reckless driving and a pedestrian was killed as a result. What sentence should this offender receive? What goal would be achieved with your proposed sentence, as compared to another sentence- in other words why is this the best sentence for this offender?
