  3. September 3 Hired a Director of Operations that will earn $10,000 per month in salary and will start on October 1.
  4. September 4 Purchased property, plant and equipment: paid $17,852 in cash and signed a short-term note of $3,271.
  5. September 5 Merchandise inventory, ordered on September 3, was delivered along with a bill for $42,500.
  6. September 15 As an incentive to maintain customer loyalty, Bentley offered customers a discount by prepaying next months software maintenance. Bentley received $8,400 from customers who took advantage of the discount.
  7. September 21 - From the inventory in stock, sold merchandise on account for $22,500. The merchandise inventory that was sold cost Bentley $16,000.
  8. September 30 - Employees earned $47,200 during the last week of September and will be paid during the next pay cycle, which will be October 5.
