Bick and his wife Puma had been married for 15 years and have had four children together.

They have lived together in the capital of the Island Republic of Cambo in a property that was purchased by Bick just before they got married. The property is in Bick's name.

However, for several years Bick had been having an affair with another woman (Flora) in the capital city. He recently decided that he wanted to leave his wife and children and start a new life with his mistress.

Bick talked to Puma about his plans, explaining that he was very sorry but that this is what he needed to do. Bick promised that he would "make sure that Puma and the children were provided for" and "that he would never leave them in poverty".

He promised that "they could stay in the house as long as they needed to".

Puma was upset but she agreed on the condition that "he paid maintenance for the children in the sum of $100 and let them stay in the house".

Bick left his wife and paid $100 Cambodian into Puma's bank account for six months. After six months he stopped paying because Puma brought in her former boyfriend, Jumbo into the house. Bick's relatives also moved into the house making it very difficult for Puma and her children.

Puma wants to bring an action in the Court against Bick for breach of contract.

She also claims that the agreement was for $100 US dollars, not Cambodian dollars, which means that Bick has to pay Puma almost twice as much on current exchange rates.

Advise Puma if she can enforce Bick's promises or not and can she claim that the agreement was for $100 US dollars?
