Bill is a purchasing agent for Hydra Corporation. Todd, a Hydra corporate officer, gives Bill written authority to buy for the firm as many computers and tablets as necessary. The next day, Todd calls Bill and tells him to buy only fifty Chromebooks and nothing else. Bill shows the written authority to CPU Plus Inc., and enters into a contract with CPU Plus to buy sixty tablets and five printers. CPU Plus ships the order to Hydra. Is Hydra liable to CPU plus under the contract? Is Bill liable(for anything)? Is Todd liable? In each case, if so, why? If not, why not?
