Guidelines for the strategic plan project

Your group project in busa $436($strategic management$)$ course is all about applying the strategic planning tools taught throughout the course and prepare a short yet a well crafted strategic plan for any company of your choice.

$*$Please do not choose NGOs or public institutions only SMEs or Large$-$scale companies. Two sections should be prepared and submitted until December. $18.2023$

Section $(1)$: Analysis and Setting the stage

Company's Overview

Situation Analysis: EFE, CPM$,$ and IFE

External and internal assessment $($Situation analysis$)$ is a fundamental process that you should go through before writing your plan or revising the vision, mission, etc...

$2\mathrm{.}1$ Environmental scanning requires that you gather publishes sources about the STEEP forces $+$ the industrial forces using the $5$ forces model. You can also gather some of these details by interviewing the owners and general managers who represent your company.

STEEP analysis should be presented in a table while showing the Opportunities and Threats relevant to your company in each STEEP force. Then include an EFE matrix with weights and scores.

$5$ forces model also should be included in a table while showing details about how each element of the five forces is currently impacting your company. Then identify the major competitors. Then prepare a CPM matrix with at least $10$ critical success factors and at least $3$ competing firms.

$2\mathrm{.}2$ Internal$/$ organizational analysis requires that you should interview the owners and general managers plus other managers from cross$-$functional functions $($i$.$e$.$ SCM$,$ operations, marketing, finance, PR$,$ etc...$)$ to gather input details about the internal organizational functions, resources, and capabilities.
