Jan. 1 28,600 shares of preferred stock issued at $23 per share. Feb. 1 June 1 July 1 52,800 shares of common stock issued at $19 per share. 2-for-1 stock split (par value reduced to $2.50). 29,100 shares of common treasury stock purchased at $10 per share. Blossom uses the cost method. 9,800 shares of treasury stock reissued at $12 per share. Sept. 15 Dec. 31 Dec. 31 The preferred dividend is declared, and a common dividend of 47 per share is declared.
