Bob couldn't afford a new refrigerator, but needed one after his stopped working. He went to a rent-to-own store, and agreed to a contract including 36 months of monthly payments, with interest. Bob made his payments on time, but in month 34 made his payment 17 days late. In months 35 and 36, he paid on time. Now the company is demanding that Bob return the refrigerator, since the contract clearly stated that if a payment was more than 10 days late, the contract was breached, and the goods must be returned.
