Bob intentionally threw a basketball at Jack's face because Bob was jealous that Jack had been offered basketball scholarships at two separate Division I universities, and the throwing happened right after his saying to Jack: "Hey Jack, I hope you break a leg in the game today." This statement was a threat because it was immediately followed by an act of throwing a ball at Jack's face. Bob was the best player on the GHS basketball team, but he was not as successful as Jack, so he could not help but be jealous. Bob could not contain his jealousy when he saw Jack coming out of the locker room, so he threw a basketball at Jack's face right after saying the threat. Therefore, Bob committed an intentional act.

The act that Bob said the threat and threw the basketball at Jack's face caused fear or apprehension of an immediate, offensive bodily contact to Jack because Jack not only flinched as the ball hit him directly in the face but Jack was also fearful or apprehensive about his physical safety by Bob's violent statement, that Bob would make Jack's leg broken during the game. When he had broken his leg, he would not have fulfilled his dream of studying at two famous universities that gave him scholarships to become a professional basketball player. Jack had a reasonable apprehension or fear because Bob's statement was threatening, immediately followed by an intentional attempt at bodily harm. Therefore, Bob caused fear or apprehension of an immediate, offensive bodily contact.
