Bob is a 14yr-old boy with autism who attends an integrated high school classroom. He is the only student with autism in the classroom, and often struggles to interact appropriately with his peers. During free time, while his classmates are talking, passing notes, and playing games together on their phones, he will engage in stereotypic hand waving instead of engaging with leisure items. If any of the other students approach him and try to talk to him, he yells and moves away from them. The teachers are worried that if Bob does not begin interacting more appropriately with his peers that he will never develop friendships or be accepted by his peers.
