Question
Bob new product no new product Alice new 600, 700 1000, 500 no new product 400, 1000 800, 1200 Would the above be an example
Bob | |||
new product | no new product | ||
Alice | new | 600, 700 | 1000, 500 |
no new product | 400, 1000 | 800, 1200 |
Would the above be an example of a 2 player game that IS NOT a prisoner's dilemma game?
would I be correct in that A's dominant strategy is to introduce a new product no matter what B does.
B does not have a dominant strategy and will follow whatever A does. The Nash equilibrium is to introduce new products. Please add or correct what I have done.
The original question was: Devise a 2-player game (depicted on the matrix below) that is aNOTa Prisoner's Dilemma game where players each have 2 strategy decisions (that are different from one another). Name your players and indicate the strategies on the table. Explain the dominant and dominated strategies. Is there a Nash equilibrium? If so what is it? If not, explain why.
