Bob takes his car to the repair shop. Bob knows the repair shop closes before Bob gets off work, so Bob signs a blank check

Bob takes his car to the repair shop. Bob knows the repair shop closes before Bob gets off work, so Bob signs a blank check made payable to the repair shop, and tells them to fill in the exact amount of the bill when they are done, and park the car outside. Bob will be by later in the evening to pick up the car with his spare key. When Bob picks up the car, Bob discovers the engine problem still exists, the problem has not been fixed. Bob will be out of town the next couple of days on business and dosen't have time to take the car back to the repair shop right away, but to "get even" with the repair shop, Bob calls his bank and puts a stop payment order on the check that the reapir shop is holding.

The next day, the repair shop negotiates the check to the auto parts supply warehouse in exchange for some parts. Assume the auto parts supply warehouse qualifies for HIDC status.

When the auto parts supply warehouse presents the check to the drawee bank, it is dishonored because of Bob's stop payment order.

Discussion issue: Can the auto parts supply warehouse legally force Bob to make the check good ( pay the amount of the check to the parts warehouse ) Why or why not and discuss the law(s) that support your position.
