1. What would be the lowest cost of the project (Without worrying about the time)? (15 points)

Answer: The lowest cost of the project would be $0. This can be achieved by not assigning any resources to the project activities. Since the project duration can be extended as needed, there is no need to worry about the time.

b) With the lowest cost, what would be the shortest project duration? Describe your method/operation and explain why. (you can re-assign resources if the roles are the same, but no one should be overloaded). (15 points)

What you cannot change:

the budgeted labor hours and proper roles (position/specialty) of each activity

the salary of each employee (resource)

Activity dependencies

the existing resources of this project (not every one of them has to be utilized)

What you can change:

resource assignment (if the roles are appropriate)

Note 1: The total Planned Labor Units is 304 hours. Please make sure that at the end of this assignment, the total Planned Labor Units and the Planned Labor Units for each activity are not changed.

Note 2: When re-allocating resources to an activity, the job titles (Roles) designated for each activity should not be changed. e.g. for activity "Class diagram", both System Analyst and System Architect are needed. So, you will need to assign at least one System Analyst and one System Architect to the activity, or assign the resource (employee) that has both roles.
