bonuses for your colleagues (nurses at Central Nevada Hospital) based on performance ratings, where ratings between 1 and 1.9 do not receive bonuses, ratings between 2 and 2.9 earn $ 100 bonuses, ratings between 3 and 3.9 earn $ 250 bonuses, ratings between 4 and 4.9 earn $ 500 bonuses, and ratings of 5 or higher earn $ 1,000 bonuses. In addition, you need to calculate annual raises based on years employed. Nurses who have worked five or more years earn a 3.25% raise; nurses who have not worked at least five years earn a 2% raise. The partially completed worksheet is given and does not yet contain range names. This assignment follows the same set of skills as used in Hands- On Exercises in Excel, Chapter 1 and 2. You are asked to complete the given worksheet (salary file).2. Click cell B4 and enter TODAY () function to calculate todays date.
3. In C column enter a formula to calculate the number of years employed. The number of years between two dates can be computed as: (date_last date_first)/365. You also may use YEARFRAC() function. Ask yourself if the cell references used for this calculation should be relative or absolute. Relative cell reference will change as you copy it for the other employees. Absolute cell reference wont change as you copy it for the other employees. The YEARFRAC function provides better accuracy since it accounts for leap years and the divisor 365 does not. Use Auto fill command to calculate the number of years for all rows, from 11 to 16.
4. Enter the breakpoint and bonus data for the lookup table by doing the following:
Click cell A21, type 1, and then press Ctrl+ Enter.
Click the Home tab, click Fill in the Editing group, and then select Series. Click Columns in the Series in section, leave the Step value at 1, type 5 in the Stop value box, and then click OK.
Click cell B21. Enter 0,100,250,500, and 1000 down the column.
5. The cells in the range A21:B25 should be formatted with Accounting Number Format with zero decimal places.
6. Create a range name Bonus for the cell range A21: B25
7. Enter the bonus (E column) based on the employer rating score value, Bonus table and using VLOOKUP() function. Calculate rating bonus values for all of the rows, from 11 to 16. Use Auto fill command.
8. Enter the raise (F column) based on years employed. Use IF() function: if the number of employed years foe a nurse > the years threshold value, then the raise should be computed by the formula salary*High Year Rate percent, otherwise the raise should be salary*Low Year Rate percent. Calculate raise values for all of the rows, from 11 to 16. Use Auto fill command.
9. Calculate the New Salary (G values). Use the formula: New salary = salary + raise + rating bonus. Calculate new salary values for all of the rows, from 11 to 16. Use Auto fill command.
10. All percent values must be formatted as percent. All currency values must be formatted with $ symbol and two decimal digits. The same type data must be formatted in the same way. Please make your document looking nice!
