Different societies and economies attempted to resolve the Economic Problem in different ways. Philosophers, analyzing political economy, had different points of view about the economic problem as relevant to their societies. Consider Aristotle (ancient Hellas), Aquinas (Medieval Europe) and Adam Smith (at start of the Industrial Revolution). Compare and Contrast their viewpoints in the context of their society's economic condition, the institutional structures that they faced, and their own philosophical ideas.
