Books Publishing Company

We will read and understand the business requirements for this company:

Books are written by authors where each author is specialized in specific subject. Editors are employed by publishing companiesto edit one or more books. After a book is reviewed and edited, publishers sell books to shop owners. Shop owner can buy many books from the publisher but one unique book can be bought by one shop owner at a time.

1- Determine all possible entities to be included in the ER diagram (including any possible weak entities) by reading the business requirements for the book publishing company?

2- List all possible attributes and their types (key, composite, derived, multivalued) for each of the specified entities?

3- Draw an ER Model which contains all the entities and attributes from previous questions. Also draw relationships between the entities showing cardinality (1:1, 1:M, M:N) and participation constraints (Total or Partial Participation).

Pharmacy Store

A Doctor should check the patient to diagnose his state, after diagnosis is completed he prescribes one or more drugs to the patient. The drug is made by a drug manufacturer, it will be sold to the patient through a medical prescription in a pharmacy which may has one or more employees.
