Both Galileo Galilei and Giordano Bruno made strong conclusive arguments about the universe, defying the teachings of the Catholic Church about creationism. In the past world history, we know that the Catholic church strongly influenced politics, health, and colonization --- going beyond its main purpose of religious evangelization of its constituents. Schools and universities in the early times were directly and indirectly governed by the church, and this posed a great challenge to scientists in the advent of technological advancements. The church strongly affirms creationism, the idea the God put special attention to Earth and its people that's why he made it the center of the universe. The "geocentric" model of the universe was supported by the church, believing that the sun, moon, stars, and other astronomical bodies revolve around with the Earth at the center. The scientific conclusive propositions of Galilei and Bruno regarding the correct interpretation of the universe created a stir with the Catholic Church.

Galileo Galilei and Giordano Bruno were questioned and imprisoned because they both believed the

universe was heliocentric. The sun is the center of the solar system, and the planets revolve around it.The church believed the opposite; they believed Earth was the center of the universe; this is geocentric.Most people believed that God created Earth in the center of the universe, and everything revolvedaround it.Both Galileo and Bruno published and circulated their theory to the public.They were bothcondemn by the church because they felt the two men were publishing articles that were against themand the words of God.They were eventually both sent to prison for heresy.

The difference between thetwo is, Bruno chooses to stick to his belief and was sentenced to death. In contrast, Galileo chose to takeback what he said and "abandon the dales opinion that the sun was the centre of the universe andimmovable, and the Earth was not the centre of the same and that it moved, and that I was neither tohold, defend, nor teach in any manner whatever, either to hold, defend, nor trach in any mannerwhatever, orally or in writing, the said false doctrine"[ CITATION Mod20 \l 1033 ].

Most early scientists had to work with the fear of their findings being labeled against the church and theword of God, even if their work would result in the betterment of society.I am not sure why churcheswere so against anything dealing with the universe or evolution.Were they afraid that these findingswould lead to people not believing in the church, and they would question the church's power overeverything? Neither was wrong socially or ethically, one died because he choose to stand by his findings.
