Brief Description of The Qrganization NDT Global is a global pipeline inspection company with over 650 employees located throughout 12 different countries and operating in 58 locations worldwide. NDT Global creates their own proprietary tools and uses ultrasonic inline-inspection technology to diagnose threats within the liquid pipelines (corrosion, axial and/or circumferential cracks, metal loss, deformations, etc.) The information collected from within the pipelines are then analyzed by the data analysis to provide clear reports to our clients.The Canadian branch is located in Leduc, Alberta. Because of our niche market, and the high learning curve of the services we provide, we prefer finding talent internally and promoting from within. This helps our employees have a bigger picture view of each job component. However, the majority of our internal promotions have not yet gained experience in leading and supervising other employees. At times, the newly promoted managers need to manage employees which were their peers. We need a better training program for this group in particular to ensure the newly promoted employees have all of the skills and resources necessary to succeed in their managerial responsibilities. We also need to provide training on how to handle the peers - now direct reports relationships. What they're looking for: For some of the internal promotions, this would be the rst time sitting in a Manager, Team Lead, or Supervisor role. It generally happens that employees are really good in their specialized (non-managerial) positions, and are promoted to a managerial style role, without the necessary resources. As with everything else, a leadership style is gained through experience. However, without the experience, or the resources, there are higher chances for the newly promoted employees to fail, or to be unhappy in their new roles. We need a training plan for these specic promotions to focus on multiple areas. The below are some examples, and we will gladly listen to any other ideas you may have
