Brief down your personal opinion, thoughts and response about the following country research report

"The Sultanate of Oman is located in the Middle East and is an incredibly important political and economical figurehead in the Middle East. It is well known for its oil production, frankincense and heritage. Oman is a relatively small country with a population of only 5 million people, ranking 120th but is ranked 70th in landmass. Therefore it has vast swathes of empty land, which is mostly desert and mountain. The capital of the Sultanate is Muscat which has a population of just over 1.5 million people. Muscat lies on the coast of the Gulf of Oman and has a very important historical importance thanks to its many ports which are still heavily used today.

The Omani Rial is the currency which Oman operates, and one Omani Rial is worth $2.60 as of writing this. The majority of Oman's population is Muslim, but do not adhere to the usual Sunni and Shia split that the majority Middle East follows. Instead, it follows the Islamic school of Ibadism, which is known for its progressiveness. Oman has a rich culture of music and actually use bagpipes as one of their instruments of choice. This is because the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said went to military school in the United Kingdom, namely Scotland, as a young man. When he returned to the Sultanate, he brought with him a set of bagpipes and they are used, along with tartan, in events across the Sultanate. As for the food, the Sultanate has an incredible choice of traditional food, my favourite of which is Omani Shuwa, which is cooking a goat 6 feet underground for 24 hours.

In 1970 Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said overthrew his very conservative father with the help of the British Army. It was a peaceful coup, and Sultan Said was sentenced to exile to London where he later passed away. Sultan Qaboos Bin Said Al Said then transformed Oman into the flourishing and prosperous country that it is today. He opened its borders to ex-pats, started drilling for oil, and most importantly became a beacon of peace in the Middle East. Unfortunately, earlier in 2020, Sultan Qaboos passed away after a long fight with cancer after returning home from Germany from treatment. The new Sultan, Sultan Haitham Bin Tariq is the new Sultan after being chosen by Sultan Qaboos as his successor. Sultan Haitham declared he would continue the work of Sultan Qaboos to be the peacekeeper in the Middle East and to continue to progress Oman.

Many people do not know this, but Oman is the mediator between the United States of America and Iran. Oman owns a sliver of land above the United Arab Emirates called Musandam, which is at the Strait of Hormuz - a very strategical and important piece of land. Oman is very good allies with Britain and the United States but also keeps its friendship with most other Arab States. This is important because without Oman mediating in past years, we could have had serious problems between the two countries. Oman is ranked the number 1 safest country in the world in the latest global rankings.

Although Oman is an absolute monarchy, the Sultan is the head of state, prime minister, head of armed forces and the head of state. However, there is an appointed government to help. Oman also does not allow Political Parties. Although many see this as undemocratic, the people of Oman are all like-minded and have the utmost respect for the government.

Oman's number one import is cars ($2bn), Iron ore ($880m) and then Planes, Helicopters or other vehicles ($624m). Its main exports are oil, fish, textiles, and other metals. The biggest exporter in China (32%), followed by Japan (13%), UAE and South Korea (10%). The countries gross income is $79 billion. The countries Gross Domestic Product is $80 billion which is ranked 67th in the world. The GDP per capita is $16,415."
