Unit of Competency in Investigative Services BSBESB305 Address compliance requirements for new business ventures.
This unit describes the skills and knowledge required to source advice and specialist services to assist in addressing business compliance relating to regulatory, taxation and insurance requirements. The unit applies to those establishing a business providing self-employment, as well as those establishing a new venture as part of a larger organisation. A person working at this level would be expected to take responsibility for organising and completing tasks assigned to them without close supervision. This unit forms part of the licensing requirements for people engaged in investigative services in some states and territories. For further information, check with the relevant regulatory authority. In order to prepare for your assessment of this unit of competency you must read and understand the subject matter relevant to the unit and also develop an understanding of the principles of investigations by reading and researching the recommended texts such as the ASSI Training and Resource Manual and Investigating Made Simple by Garry Maher.
