BUMGT 5922. Task 2 . Individual Communications Folio

Weight: 30 % Word Count: 3,000 words You will be required to provide a folio of di?erent styles and forms of Business Communications (10 in number) based on the communications from one of the listed well-known public ?gures or another one of your choice. Please gain approval from your lecturer for a person not on the list below. This folio must consist of both electronic communication methods, such as audio-visual hyperlinks and MP3/MP4 ?les and written material, such as screenshots of media releases, downloaded documents, etc. There must be no more than ?ve (5) audio-visual hyperlinks, which means that you must have at least ?ve (5) examples of written material from the public ?gure in your appendices. This task will require you to observe, listen, analyse and critique the many modes they communicate with (e.g. speech, interviewer, interviewed, writer, tweet). The folio must include (a) examples of each and every one of the forms of communication explored in class and a (b) an analytical paragraph (250 words) analysing each form of communication in relation to the key course concepts from weeks 1-5 inclusive. Your analysis must refer directly to each example in you folio. Note that the critical analysis component is weighted heavily in the marking rubric, which is available on Moodle You must include all ten (10) examples in your appendices. It is recommended to use a Mahara ePortfolio to do this. The only exception is audio-visual examples that you are unable to download and supply as an MP3 or MP4 ?le. For these you must supply a hyperlink that can be accessed by your marker. Any folio that does not meet this requirement, will be automatically graded as a fail. • Jacinda Ardern, Prime Minister of New Zealand

• Daniel Andrews, Premier of the state of Victoria in Australia

• Barack Obama, former President of the USA

• Donald Trump, former President of the USA

• Boris Johnson, Prime Minister of the UK

• a di?erent well known public person of your choice; please gain approval from your lecturer for your choice before proceeding.
