Bus332: A Logistics Performance Index of Egypt

For this discussion, we will use data from the World Bank's Logistics Performance Index (LPI), which evaluates countries along the key factors that enable a country to have an effective logistics system. Explore Egypt's scorecard and use the comparison function within site to compare the country's logistics system to relevant other countries, such as countries in the same region or in the same income group. Once you detect insights from the data, conduct additional research to build upon these insights. Then participate in the discussion by responding to the questions below.

1. Analyze and fully summarize Egypt's performance on the LPI. Post an image of a visual illustrating the key data points or key international comparisons.

2. What are the main insights you have drawn from this analysis regarding both:

3. Link your analysis and insights to the McKinsey report on global value chains, which we used for the other discussion in this module. From your research, how has the country's logistics infrastructure impacted the way the country participates (or does not participate) in global value chains?
