Melvin is part of the inaugural class of the Phi Beta Gamma Fraternity at RDP$.$ To celebrate opening RDP$$s first ever fraternity, PBG throws a frat party. They hand out posters all around campus, advertising the $$biggest kegger party of the year $-$ $$20$ a person$.$

Sam comes to the party, and drinks the equivalent of $12$ beers in $1$ hour, after Melvin keeps getting him to do keg stands. When Sam goes to leave, Melvin tells him $$man$,$ make sure to take the back roads, and watch out for the Po Po$!$

Sam ends up crashing his car into a Julie, a pedestrian, fracturing her skull and leaving her with severe physical injuries. Sam pleads guilty and is sentenced to $10$ years. Julie brings an action against Melvin.
