(c) Benzene and trimethylamine (TMA) are to be separated in a three-stage liquid-liquid extraction column using water as the solvent to produce 800kg/h extract and 200kg/h raffinate. Given that the solvent-free extract and raffinate products are to contain, respectively, 70wt% TMA and 3 wt\% TMA. There is no reflux and the solvent is pure water.
