You find the choice difficult between the two and after discussing with the car dealer for 30min, you decide to give it a rest and to look at this question later. Is your choice rational (as defined in the lecture)?

d) On the 1st of January, you buy a gym membership for the year at $300. You think it is a good deal: if you go every week outside of holidays (around 40 weeks), the cost of each gym session will only be $7.5, much less than the $20 per session when paying "as you go". At the end of the year, you notice that you only went once a month, for an average cost per session of $25. What happened?

e) You go to the library and take a series of books: 2 books on video games, 1 book on famous scientists and 1 book on the history of pre-Columbian America. The first two are to learn tricks on your favourite games you are playing at the moment, the last two are to improve your culture. Four weeks later, when the time arrives to give the book back to the library, you realise that, while you finished the two books on video games, the book on scientists and the book on history were left unopen on your shelf. What happened?
