1. Reducing poverty in urban areas is likely to be a growing task for governments and development agencies in the coming decades. Choose any one country and list the different ways the government is taking initiative to reduce the poverty for that country 2. Urban poverty may be more difficult to curb than rural poverty, more attention needs to be focused on understanding urban livelihood. This study examines the livelihoods of the urban poor through the lens of a sustainable livelihood approach. Specifically, it examines the livelihood assets, vulnerability context, and various factors that mediate asset and vulnerability of the urban poor. The rural vulnerability differs from urban one in terms of poverty and livelihoods.
