(c.2) Analysis of a real cylindrical sterilization flow reactor (fength =3m, diameter =0.6m ) has indicated that its performance may be modeled as a network of ideal reactors. At the entrance and the exit the inner core of the reactor behave like a CSTR (diameter =0.20cm,L=0.60m ). The outer layer of the CSTRs behave like dead zones, and do not contribute to sterilization. The central zone behaves like an ideal plug flow reactor (between L=0.60 and L=2.40m ). The inlet CSTR zone is at T1, the outlet CSTR zone is at T2 and PF zone is at T3. Sterilization is expressed like a chemical reaction as: dtdx=kxwherek=k0exp(RTEa) Obtain an expression for the ratio of the live microorganisms (xf) at the exit of the reactor to those at the inlet (x0)
