Calculation of the volume of a droplet using MLvision.Few experiments on site may be required.DescriptionUsing an imaging method we can monitor the output flow rate, that is feed through an EHD nozzle, making it possible to reproduce our results on any pump used in an electrospray system. We achieve that with a simple method by capturing successive images at regular intervals, prior to engaging the high voltage, at the emitter tip and then estimating the volume of the pendant drop for two different points in time.RequirementThe algorithm should recognise the droplets and use two or more snapshots to calculate the volume difference over time.Step 1:calculate the volume of the droplets. The diameter of the steel tube is 0.5mm, the photo interval is 5 seconds. You can assume rotational symmetry for the droplet.Step 2:Use a training set of images (I can provide more) to autotrace the droplets FYI : There is a plugin for a free imaging software that is written in python.
