Camilo owns and operates a seafood restaurant. He has a large cool room where he stores the restaurant's seafood. Because he stores a large quantity of expensive seafood, he engages Brendan, a refrigeration repairman, to perform ongoing maintenance on the cool room refrigerator on a weekly basis to ensure it never breaks down. Brendan fails to perform the maintenance on the cool room refrigerator for three weeks in a row and this causes it to break down. Camilo loses $5,000 worth of seafood that goes bad. As well as the seafood, Camilo also stores a rare Picasso painting worth millions of dollars in the cool room because the temperature is just right to preserve the artwork.
