Discussion Board #2: Can a children's book save the world? Watch this 12 minute TED talk by Linda Sue Park, an American children's author. Park is known for historical fiction about her Korean ancestry and she won a Newbery Award for her 2001 novel, A Single Shard. In this video, she tells the story of how she came to write a kind of hybrid chapter book-non-fiction Interspersed with a fictional story, And she tells what happened after she wrote the book.
