3) [30 points] A block of mass M on an inclined is connected by a massless string to a disk with moment of inertia I and radius R. The plane makes an angle O with the horizontal. The string is wrapped around the disk, and the disk has a frictionless axle passing through its center of mass such that it can rotate freely while its center of mass position is fixed. The block starts from rest at the top of the plane and slides down under the influence of local gravity. Use the coordinate o to represent the rotation of the disk, and x to represent the distance down the plane. M a. Write the the equation of constraint between the generalized coordinates o and x. b. Use the constraint identified in part a to write the Lagrangian in terms of the generalized coordinate x, L(x, x) c. Write down, and solve, the equation of motion to find the position of the block as a function of time. (Take note of the initial conditions given in the description of the problem)
