OCD is characterized by ritual or intrusive disorder and behavior like counting, and washing one hand a copious amount of time. Obsessive- compulsive disorder is a process addiction to a behavioral pattern it is categorized by both obsession and compulsion. OCPD focuses on orderliness and perfectionism it's a disorder of traits and behavior. There are many steps when appraising OCD like supplement to help raise the low serotonin. Bright light therapy can help someone to be less obsessive and focused. It's a combination of therapy, medication to help understand obsessional thinking. "Emotional appraisal refers to the interpretation and response to emotion-provoking stimuli. The experience and "unacceptability" of certain emotional states exacerbate distress from OCD symptoms" (Sinha et al., 2021)
