Can someone help me to better understand this project? I have the data that I need to use but I am confused on how to put it all together. If someone could help clarify steps and how to properly finish this it would be much appreciated. Thank you.
Excel Project #3 - Words Spoken by Men and Women Refer to Data Set 24 "Word Counts" in Appendix B, which includes counts of words spoken by males and females. That data set includes 12 columns of data, but first stack all the male word counts in one column and stack all the female word counts in another column. The data file has been posted in Brightspace. Then proceed to generate histograms, any other suitable graphs, and find appropriate statistics that allow you to compare the two sets of data. Are there any outliers? (Use box-plot definition of outliers. See below.) Do both data sets have properties that are basically the same? Are there any significant differences? The Word Count data set is attached. On a new sheet in the same file, place all the male values in one column, and place all the female values in a separate and non-adjacent column. Suggested lower limit of first class: 1. Suggested class width: 5000. Suggested classes: 1-5000, 5001-10000, etc. Remember to use the same class limits for both the male and female data sets. If you use the above suggestions, the data sets will consist of around 10 classes. For each data set, generate a Descriptive Statistics table (option in Data Analysis). Place the male and female tables side by side. Find also the following: CV (standard deviation / mean), Q1, Q3, IQR = Q3 - Q1, 1.5*IQR, Lower fence = Q1-1.5*IQR, Upper fence = Q3+1.5*IQR Use the QUARTILE function to find Q1 and Q3. Bonus points for dot plots, box-plots, and/or multiple bar histograms. Remember to ENLARGE the histograms, delete the word "Histogram" (no title needed) and delete the word "Frequency" on right side of graphs. Also remove the gaps between histogram bars (Right click on a bar, select 'Format Data Series' and adjust gap width). Use appropriate x-axis label, such as "Male Word Counts"Step by Step Solution
