CASE STUDY Becoming a university lecturer is a career decision that gives people the opportunity to develop their academic research further without sacrificing their income. Lecturers also benefit from providing the structured learning and development of the next generation entering their field. Mentoring helps students develop and get the most out of their further education by providing support and building trust. The structure of a typical working week allows lecturers time to juggle work and home life. That's not to say that they won't also need to work hard, and many lecturers make up their time by working late or starting early, but for work-life balance, this career can be a good one. Although become a lecturer have a lot of benefit to the world, but it has also the bad side such as money is one of the factor that can deter potential university lecturers. Although they're not considered low-paid workers, and their compensation is usually going to be enough to have a comfortable life, their pay doesn't always reflect the hours they put in. Long hours can be a problem if you're a university lecturer. Although one of the benefits is flexibility of the work, that work still needs to be done. Working at evenings and over weekends is typical and even expected. The benefits of being a university lecturer will, for the right person, far outweigh the negatives. The idea of being able to shape young minds, work on subjects you love and have the opportunity for real research is exciting The lecturer has their own grading based on their experience and learning approvals. For grade A is the highest which consist of a lecturer member who possesses a PhD or specialist qualification shall be paid RM 14000 as their salary and the allowance for extra working day is RM 100 per day. For grade B consist of a lecturer member who possesses a Master or specialist qualification shall be paid RM 10000 as their salary and the allowance for extra working day is RM 80 per day. For grade C which is the lowest which consist of a lecturer member who possesses a degree or specialist qualification shall be paid RM 8000 as their salary and the allowance for extra working day is RM50 per day. In University Malaysia Pahang (UMP) have a lot of faculty with different subject. For subject problem solving have 15 lecturers. Some of them will work extra days in order to teach their students after working days which is only 5 days in a week. They need to know how much their salary include the allowance that they get in a month. Allowance based on their grade and the total days they spend to teach their students. The total salary payment based on their salary in a month and total allowance per month.
