Calculate the gross prot on sales and net income from operations. Gross profit on sales - Net income from operations - On January 1, 2020 a company had merchandise inventory of $42,000. The company had purchases of $53,000, freight in of $300, purchases returns and allowances of $3,100, and purchases discounts of $1,800 during the year. On December 31, 2020 the company had merchandise inventory of $35,000. For the year 2020 calculate: [1) the net delivered cost of purchases reported on the classied income statement and [2} the cost of goods sold. _ _
