An investor web page claims that earnings per share is the best measure of a share's true price because it shows you how much of a company's profit after tax that each shareholder owns. Look up the most recent earnings per share figure of Amazon. What is its stock price today? What is its P/E (Stock price / EPS) ratio? Would you buy Amazon stock given these numbers? Why or why not
