Question 5 After Scrat's acorn adventure, the animals find themselves trapped by a frozen river which is starting to break apart! The pieces of floating ice which are breaking off the frozen river are called ice floes. . The mean thickness of the ice floes is 25cm, with a standard deviation of 0.2cm. The cracks in the frozen river have a mean width of 50cm with a standard deviation of 5cm. The thickness of the ice floes (described by the variable F) and the width of the cracks (described by the variable C) are known to be normally distributed, and do not depend on each other. Calculate the probability that: a) An ice floe has a thickness less than 25.3cm. b) An ice floe has a thickness between 24.7 and 25.3cm
