Muychrea, Vatanak, and Sopheavatey conducted a study in 2018. These 3 authors wanted to know whether a romantic relationship had a positive or negative effect on their study performance. To sufficiently answer their question, 100 random university students from Cambodia were given a questionnaire with questions based on if they were, weren't or have ever

been in a relationship. The conclusion of the study was that majority of the students were on the neutral side, but they identified that university students who have been in romantic relationship view the more positively than those who have been involved in one. The authors themselves said they couldn't quite generalize whether romantic relationships are bad or good. The is study is relevant because it shows the opposite and same view of the effects of romantic relationships and our results will be different (Muychrea et al., 2018).
