John Brown is a currently in the role of Digital Strategy and Business Operator Manager is has been with the company since August 2020 when he joined initially as Loyalty Business Manager, and was recently promoted to his currently role for good job performance.
In in current role his functions includes:
Collaborate with global and regional stakeholders to
Lead and motivate cross functional teams to deliver;
Oversee timely reporting to Board and Management committees as and when needed;
Proactively manage and mitigate initiative dependencies, issues and risks
Champion initiative management best practice across Europe;
Translate complex solutions to simple, transparent and measurable plans with milestones and clearly defined accountabilities;
Support and delegate for the CEO Chief of Staffand C.D.O as and when needed.

- Managing and tacking SMT action
- Strategic Programs such driving and manage Digital NPS
Changes in this new proposed Head of Strategic Programmes role would include:
The Head of Strategic Programmes is a critical, high profile role reporting to the Chief Digital Officer and Director ofOperations and Market Engagement within the Group CDO's office.
This role is primarily responsible for:
Leading the Digital portfolio of strategic projects/initiatives, in partnership with Senior Management team.
Supporting the organisation in meeting its strategic objectives via the execution of cross functional transformation and change projects;
Accountable for overseeing the delivery of the Board/CDO pipeline of Strategic Initiatives
(Have responsibility for planning, implementation and oversight of project across the organisation that lead to the transformation).
Run change programmes with a defined roadmap of projects and appropriate governance, delivering regular and ongoing improvements into the business.
Communicate progress against the change programme to all stakeholders, including the wider business
Align the Leadership Team on initiative priorities, address cross functional resourcing ensure timely delivery of the portfolio.
Based on accessing his current role (level of visibility, accountability and stakeholder he manages and interacts with - CEOs, CFO, COOs etc) it is concluded that his role should be moved up to a Head of Strategic programme role level. John is now being asked to come up with a proposal stating why he should be moved to this role.
