can you please answer this

All three attorneys can only bill for the flight. As stated in the "The Double Billing Dilemma", Double billing is against the ABA model A rule 1.5 (a) and 8.4.Attorney 1 is already doing being paid by the client to fly out to California, so therefor the attorney can not bill additionally for the hours he spent on the deposition questions.Attorney 2 is already being paid for the time to travel, so he can not bill another client for the same hours.Attorney 3 can bill for the flight as well since he is flying out to California on behalf of the client.

Model A rule 1.5 states that no unreasonable fees can be charged to a client.Double billing a client would be considered unreasonable feels and this is why it would break this rule.

Model rule 8.4 (c) talks about fraud and deceit. It would be fraudulent to double bill a client for hours and it would also be deceitful.
