Suppose we wanted to calculate a 95% confidence interval for the population mean , and that the tolerable error (i.e., W) is one second (that is, 1/60 minutes). What sample size is needed to achieve these specifications? Please show all of your calculations.
equation: n=(z^2 ^2)/E^2E= W/2= (1/60)/2= 0.0083 = 0.083 (found in earlier problem) z=1.96
n= (1.96)^2(0.083)^2/ (0.0083)^2= 384 mountain goats
