Can you please comment on what I did well and what I could have done differently in the following response I wrote? Here is the question I had to respond to:What was the case of Griswold v. Connecticut? How did it develop our concept of "privacy"? Is the case an example of judicial activism or restraint? Explain. And here is my response:The case of Griswold v. Connecticut was a landmark Supreme Court case, to which "famously inferred that a right to privacy existed within the constitution, which does not explicitly exist in the document" (Cornell, 2023). This case took place in regards to the Connecticut law to which had banned the use of any contraception "for married couples which received multiple legal challenges prior to this case" (Cornell 2024). The court decision presented a 7-2 decision to which had overruled the law as an invasion of the right to privacy, especially in marital privacy. This case made a huge impact in future cases in regards to the expansion of the right to privacy "such as other uses of contraception, abortion, and LGBTQ rights" (Cornell, 2023). This case would be considered an example of judicial activism in the sense of giving reference to other landmark cases such as Roe v. Wade.
