We will provide an environment where many different genders, races, nationalities, and sexual orientations and identities are present, not only the perspective of certain groups are valued and will not allow anyone to undermine that.
- Gender identity laws - There are state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination; these laws are in place to protect employees and maintain compliance at the state and local levels. Discrimination regulations require employers to allow employees to use facilities that correspond to the employee's gender identity or gender expression regardless of the employees' assigned sex at birth.
- Acknowledge concern - We acknowledge your concern; however, how you went about the situation was unprofessional. When a current employee transitions throughout his or her employment tenure, we as an organization understand the concerns and questions from other employees when the transitioning employee changes his or her gender identity preference. However, as outlined in our nondiscrimination policy and training, we have clear expectations from our employees, and we will promote fair and equitable treatment of all employees.
