The handouts will contain identical information to what the staff are receiving through verbal communication. The efficacy of the training will be assessed through a random assessment of the staff's adherence to hourly rounding practices on the unit. During the implementation phase, the project manager and the charge nurse will conduct random audits on the hourly rounding behaviors. The second round of training will take place in the same manner from April 15, 2024 to May 15, 2024. The education session will cover the various advantages of using hourly rounding and provide an update on the unit's progress. The random audits will persist in order to guarantee adherence to the practice of hourly rounding. Staff are expected to enhance compliance with hourly rounding, resulting in a drop in the fall rate on the unit. The training outcomes will be communicated during the huddle.
