I have been fortunate enough that I have worked with a few servant leaders over my career. They displayed a characteristic of prioritizing the teams's needs over their own (Gandolfi & Stone, 2018), leading to significant positive outcomes for the organization. One standout leader went above and beyond to nurture the team's growth, ensuring they excelled in their roles. Their efforts resulted in the organization's highest number of team members being promoted to other positions, which showed their commitment to the growth of their people (Northouse, 2022). I think because of their focus on the team instead of themselves; they were able to build trust among the team quickly.

This commitment to being a servant leader did not just end with promotions; it had a ripple effect across the entire team and the organization, fostering a sense of community where everyone felt secure and connected to their colleagues (Northouse, 2022). As team members thrived and took on new responsibilities, a culture of collaboration and mutual support flourished. The positive energy within the team translated into increased productivity, better problem-solving, and a shared sense of achievement.

Moreover, the leader's focus on individual growth fostered a workplace where everyone felt valued and motivated. Team members were not just climbing the career ladder but gaining new skills, honing existing ones, and becoming well-rounded professionals.
