I believe this can help build trust among team members if they know that you are an expert in your field. Experience is another asset to have when working on projects. You can look at your past experiences to determine a more effective, efficient, and better way of accomplishing the tasks on the project.

What are best practices for working effectively and efficiently in a project team environment?

The best practices are having a complete understanding of everyone's role on a project team. If you understand the roles of each team member, I think the project would run effectively and efficiently. At the beginning of the project, the roles should be clearly defined and make sure everyone has a complete understanding of what is at stake when working in a group on a project. Having communication throughout the whole project, it can provide immediate feedback if a problem arises or help with determining a solution. Along with communication, you should provide deadlines for each phase of the project. The planning phase is an important part when working in a team environment. "When you aremanaging a software project, whether as a part of a development team or as a freelancer, you need to have realistic goals about your time requirements and budgeting." (Miller, 2021) This can ensure that project milestones are met and accomplished. Also, location can be a major factor within the project because not all team members are in the same location. If you schedule meetings, a time should be determined for each team member to be available for input, brainstorming, or training. Overall, I think effective communication and planning can help make the team successful. Team members may have experience in an area that another team member may not, and they can provide the knowledge and experience to the team member for whenever they may need assistance.
