Isolationism is where a country closes itself to the outside and somehow manages a country's economy with no outside trade. This is not only extremely difficult but practically impossible in today's world. The reason it is impossible is because we rely too heavily on imports and not only that but due to advancements in travel the world has become closer than ever. Internationalism is the opposite of isolationism. Internationalism is when countries intermix their political, economic, and even culture. When it comes to choosing between there really is no perfect option if you choose isolationism then that leaves you vulnerable because you will have no one but yourself to rely on but if you choose internationalism then you are stuck with a side and against their enemies.
