After reading about MKULTRA it's definitely increased my willingness to consider other conspiracies allegedly carried out by the US government. A reason that it leads my willingness to consider is how the government had projects that carried out illegal and inhumane actions. One good example is how the CIA had a plan where they would hire prostitutes to lure their customers to CIA safe house in which they would drug them with LSD and observe how they acted. "CIA officers hired prostitutes to lure their customers to CIA Safe Houses, where the hookers slipped LSD and other behavioral changing drugs into their drinks and agents observed their reactions" (Olmsted, 176). After this surfaced to the general public there was a hearing with the U.S top security official where he confesses on the act and says " if you happened to be at the wrong bar at the wrong place and time, you got it." So the thought of learning this lead me to believe and increase my willingness to consider conspiracies allegedly carried out by the US government to be true.
