Captain Caribbean is a seasoned Master who has been visiting the Caribbean region for a number of years. On June 10th, 2023, Captain Caribbean decided to proceed inland without the guidance of the country's pilot. While navigating the channel of the inland port, she struck a reef and damaged her superstructure. As a result of the breach to her hull, oil was discharged polluting the navigable channel, the areas in which some fishermen fished and washed up the waterfront of some reputable restaurants in the area. The affected parties are preparing to lay claims for compensation, it should be noted that some fishermen reported that they suffered loss of revenue because the fishes in the area died, eventhough these fish were not in their nets.
