Car Wireless Ventures (CWV) is a company that wishes to start a new trend in social networking software. The idea is to allow car drivers and passengers who have smart- phones or similar devices (PDAs, PADs, Notebooks, etc) to interact freely with each other. The interaction could be done using various communications mediums such wireless Lans (wif), 3G/GSM networks, and blue-tooth connections. Once the user's device has been activated they would start to search for other users that are connected to the same local network (wifi or blue tooth), or connect to CWV's central server (over 3G) to find remote users. Users can also run their own wifi access point in their car and act as bridges to the CWV for those that do not have 3G. Users can engage in one-to-one or many-to-many interactions. The interactions may involve text, video, or voice messaging Furthermore, users may also collaborate on playing group games (drivers should refrain) All interactions are, of course, voluntary and any user may decide to accept or reject any invitation to participate in such interactions. CWV plans on offering its services and software for free to its users and therefore wants to be able base its revenues on advertisements. Advertisements should be displayed on users' screens based on their profiles and context (what they are using the system for at the moment and their location which is determined via GPS). An accounting system should be maintained to be able charge advertisers for the number of times their ads are displayed on s user s screen. CWV also prides itself of having a strict code of conduct as far as protecting their clients privacy is concerned and also on their ability to prevent unauthorized users from using the system.
